Join Us for the British Sake Association Community Day – Kanpai London, Sat. 11th April

The British Sake Association is excited to be hosting a Community Day with our good friends at Kanpai. As you will be aware, at this time of year in Japan, the new school year starts and those who graduate embark on their career paths (hopefully). Likewise in this part of the world, Spring symbolises renewal and new beginnings. In this spirit we want to gather our community to share a glass (or several) of sake to re-kindle old friendships as well as make new ones.

The best part of this event is that it is FREE to all (you’ll have to pay for drinks, of course). Members do benefit from a 10% discount off draft products. It will be a great chance for non-members to ask any questions they may have to the BSA committee members present and get a bit more information about what we do.

Since Kanpai’s founding in 2016 they have won multiple awards for their sake and because it is not brewed in Japan (and therefore not nihonshu) they have a lot more freedom to experiment with their brewing – with some very tasty results. In fact, they have just dropped the latest expression in their Ultra Limited Release (ULR) series – a small batch Tokubetsu Junmai Genshu, brewed at a super low temperature.

Find out more at here. We have secured a bottle for the event so get there early to have a taste. If you can’t wait that long, head over to the taproom or online to get your fix.

As this is a free event, there is no ticketing link. However, to help us gauge numbers, if you are coming or interested in coming, please drop a note to karken@britishsakeassociation.org (though this is optional). This is intended to be a relaxed and informal occasion, so pop-in to say hi and have a chat if you can!

We look forward to seeing you there.
