Want to learn how to pair sake with food? How to decipher the sake menu at your favourite Asian restaurant, select the sake styles you most enjoy, and read a sake bottle label? Discover exactly how it’s made? Curious about how to warm sake up and how different temperatures change the taste experience?
Learn all this and more during the WSET Level 1 Award in Sake, coming up on Sunday February 22nd at West London Wine School. This fun one-day course taught by the BSA’s own Sarah Stewart covers all the sake basics in a relaxed, approachable format, with no prior sake knowledge needed – you’ll learn everything you need on the day to ace the short test held at the end of the course (we have a 100% pass rate, with most students earning a Distinction). You’ll sample 8 premium sake across a range of styles on the course, while learning how to taste using WSET’s Systematic Approach to Tasting Sake. You’ll also enjoy hands on sake & food pairing, and experience sake served at different temperatures.
This course is perfect for sake enthusiasts who want to learn more and enhance their enjoyment of this fabulous beverage, as well as those in hospitality wanting to expand their expertise into the sake category.
