The British Sake Association (BSA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Felix Ko as Company Secretary and Treasurer. In this role, Ko will oversee the Association’s financial affairs and company secretarial responsibilities, working closely with BSA Chairman Marie Cheong-Thong.
Since joining the Association in September 2023, Ko has served as Deputy Membership Officer. During his tenure, he led the successful digitalisation of the BSA membership cards and played an active role in promoting membership growth and engagement.
With a background in Chartered Accountancy, Ko brings valuable expertise to the position. He will collaborate closely with the BSA Board —Shirley Booth (President), Marie Cheong-Thong (Chairman), Toshio Ueno (Director) and Henry Thorogood (Honorary Secretary) — as well as the wider Committee, including: Sarah Stewart, Gabriel Lei, Erika Haigh, Oliver Hilton-Johnson, Akemi Yokoyama, Lili Banks and Jon Payten.
All committee members serve the Association in a voluntary capacity.
Founded in 2006, the British Sake Association is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to promoting the understanding and enjoyment of sake. Through tastings, events, and cultural exchanges, the BSA connects Members and non-Members with sake brewers and industry professionals from around the world. The Association is committed to preserving sake-making traditions and serving as a cultural bridge between Britain and Japan.
