Shochu Study Group – 29 October – @Shochu Lounge

The BSA Committee is pleased to invite you to the first Shōchū Study Group, exploring one of the oldest spirits in the world!

The theme for the first edition will be traditional Honkaku Shōchū and Awamori, where we’ll embark on a journey to the southernmost area of Japan. Starting from Kyūshū, the home of shōchū, we’ll stop in Kagoshima, Kumamoto and Oita, to then move to the subtropical islands of Okinawa to sip some of the oldest Japanese spirit, Awamori.

Each shōchū tells a story, highly influenced to the area of provenance. The ties with the land and the varieties of ingredients shōchū can be made from create an immense range of flavours that make this category unique.

Join us at Shochu Lounge where bites from Roka’s kitchen will provide the perfect pairing for the wonderful range of shōchū.
