Are you aware that in Japan, Shochu is more widely consumed than sake?
Shochu is tipped to be the next “it” drink. Indeed, in Japan shochu is consumed more than sake itself. In collaboration with the International Sake School, London-based VSF’s Sake and Shochu Educator and BSA Chairman Marie Cheong-Thong is running yet another Shochu Advisor course in London this April, with sake and shochu guru Toshio Ueno-sensei as a co-teacher!
Date: 27 April 2024 (Sat) or 28 April 2024 (Sun), from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm
Venue: Central London (to be confirmed)
Price: £450 per person (£380 only for BSA members, a saving of £70 for early-bird registrations on or before 30 March 2024)
The fee includes study materials, classroom tuition, Shochu/Awamori samples, examination (first attempt), certification, and postage for the certificate (upon successful completion of the exam).
Prerequisite: None
Exam: 100 multiple-choice questions (70% required to pass), to be completed within 60 minutes online approximately two weeks after the course
